If yours is running in the opposite direction it sounds like you may have the wires reversed which would cause the fan to go in the opposite direction.   • The RV range hoods that I have played with had the guts easily accessible by completely removing the hood from where they were mounted. The fan blade should just pull off. The shaft that it attaches to on the motor will probably have a D shape (but not always). If it does then there is only one way it can go back on. The motors are usually attached with fasteners at the top of the motor so having the range hood completely out is going to make things a lot easier. Take a look at the picture...
